The end of May marked the end of elementary school for Kaylyn. It was a very happy time, but also a very sad time as I watched my little girl move on to middle school. We have had so many great years at Hawks Rise and she has made so many great friendships that I pray continue on for a lifetime!
The day prior to school ending, we had the 5th grade graduation. With the help and vision of two great leaders/moms, Lindsey Rodrigue and Kristin Hendrix, we were able to transform the cafeteria into a beautiful setting for the event and carry out a great ceremony.

The next day (the last day of school) was the 5th grade Fiesta. The school has done a luau theme for the last who knows how many years, but we changed it up a little this year and everything turned out perfect!
Before the party started though, the kids participated in a Honor Walk around the school. It was so neat having all of the teachers and younger students come out to high five and shake hands with the 5th graders who were moving on.

Oh the places you'll go...
Love this crazy, fun lady!
I'm not really sure what this was because I was helping setup the food. Long story short, the kids got in a circle, took off their shoes and threw them in the middle, then they tried to see who could get a matching pair first. It definitely kept them busy.
The 5th grade teachers performed for everyone and showed off their dance moves. The kids and parents loved it and the teachers did a great job.

On this day, I was 18 weeks pregnant and we found out that morning that we were having another precious baby girl. To say the least, it was a great day celebrating two big occasions.
Kaylyn, me and our new baby girl!
We are so sad that Kaylyn's time at Hawks Rise has come to an end, but I look forward to where she is going and the fact that two more of our little girls will be here in the future. We have so many memories to remember the awesome time she had at the school and we will always remember her very special 5th grade year!
