On December 18th, Ashton had her Christmas program at school. After the Thanksgiving program where she was less than thrilled, I was pretty nervous about how she would be. We knew that she knew the songs (she LOVED singing them for us at the house) and that she was doing a great job during the practices, but you just never know. The morning of the program came and we were so excited to see our little angel perform.
Mary and Joseph
(Harper and Noah)
At first (meaning the first few seconds) Ashton did really well. I thought she may actually go along with it and perform, but then this happened...
My poor baby girl :(
Thank goodness for Ashton's sweet teacher Mrs. Susan who quickly joined her on stage and made it all better.
She may have sat there for the rest of the program but, she did perform. She sang all of the songs and even did the hand motions.
Mrs. Susan tried to get her to stand with the other angels, but it wasn't going to happen.
Even though my sweet girl wouldn't stand, she did make it through and for that, I am so PROUD!
And this is the look she gave me when it was over. How could you not love this little stinker!?!
Our Angel
Oh how I LOVE this little girl!!!
Showing off some of her art work that she did.
She may not ever be a performer, but as long as she gains a little more confidence each time, this mama is happy! I love this little stinker a bushel and a peck and a big ole hug around the neck!
