Cheerleading Camp

The last week of July, Kaylyn had UCA Cheerleading Camp with her team in Panama City. She left on Monday for the week and had so much fun. Parents are not allowed to participate in the practices or activities, so we stayed home, but headed over on Wednesday for the last day performances on Thursday.

Ready to go...

When we arrived at the conference center, it was a bit overwhelming. Imagine any of the cheerleading movies that you may have seen and that is exactly what it was like. And then we saw the excitement on Kaylyn's face and it was awesome!

Me and my sweet girl!

Ashton was so excited to finally see her YaYa and I think Kaylyn was just as excited to see her.

I was so nervous about Kaylyn being a flyer, but she is confident and that made me so much more at ease.

I was one proud mama!

She was so happy and excited!

Look closely and you will see Kaylyn.

Getting ready for the Xtreme routine.

When all of the teams finished their routines, it was time to hand out awards.

The girls were all so sweet holding hands and waiting to see if they were called.

Their first 1st place trophy.

They even got an invite to the Capital One Bowl...

A 2nd place trophy, but just as exciting.

Another 1st place trophy and the excitement on Kaylyn's face is priceless!

And they finished with a third 1st place trophy.

The girls worked so hard during the week and it really paid off in the end. They did amazing on their routines and we were all so proud.

Coach Phipps and Coach Powell make it all possible! They are such great leaders for our girls and I am so happy that Kaylyn decided back in March to take this journey with Deerlake Middle School Cheerleading.

A family picture from our first cheering experience.
