Bye Bye 2 Hello 3

It's hard to believe, but two Friday's ago we celebrated Ashton's 3rd birthday. I cannot believe my baby is three & really wish that I could just stop time!

When she woke up on her birthday, we let her open a few gifts.

That afternoon, we kept her celebration simple with a few friends at the park. We had cupcakes (thanks to my great friend Sarah), juice boxes and lots of fun in the sun! I'm horrible at being a good host and taking pictures, so I literally only have a few.

Enjoying her cupcake!

Sweet Mr. Bennett.

It was so hot at the park, we took presents home and opened them later that night. Ashton was so excited for all of her gifts!

I love this picture of my girls.

On Saturday, we celebrated with family at the house. We had pizza, cake and lots of swimming. Ashton had her mommy, daddy, YaYa, grandparents, aunts, uncle and cousins and she was very happy!

Not only was it Ashton's birthday celebration, but Grandma and Boppa were celebrating their 34th wedding anniversary!

BIG kids!

Part of the fun this year was letting Ashton pick out her own cake. She's not really into characters, but she does love Micky and Minnie. She had to have this cake when she saw Micky had on flip flops!

Blowing out her candles...she was so excited.

Yummy, yummy!

After pizza, swimming and cake it was time to open more presents.

My sweet baby girl had such an awesome 3rd birthday! It was two days of celebrating with great friends and family. Thanks to everyone who made my girl feel special!!

My Baby Started Fifth Grade

Everyone kept asking if I was ready for school to start back and my answer was always "no". With Kaylyn starting fifth grade, I was a little sad. Right now, I am the best thing ever to her and I'm scared that once she starts sixth grade, I will not be so cool anymore. It's crazy to worry now when I have another year, so...we'll just have to wait and see.

The first day of school was crazy! Traffic, parking, trying to get to class before the bell rang and towing Ashton along with me (little sister couldn't miss YaYa's first day) was pretty hectic. I only got a few pictures, but a few were better than none.

Getting everything put away in her desk.

These were after school since the morning was so crazy.

Kaylyn had a wonderful first week and if it's any indication as to how the year will turn out, then she is going to have a GREAT one! She loves her teachers (she even got Mr. Cloud who is someone that I graduated high school with) and is so excited about all there is to come with fifth grade.

Here's to making our last year at Hawks Rise with Kaylyn one to remember!

My 31st Birthday & A Trip To St. Pete...

Exactly one month ago (it's horrible it has taken me this long, but things have been CRAZY) we headed to St. Pete for my 31st birthday and for Trey to work. We left on Sunday and my birthday was the following day (Trey took it off). The girls were with us and it was a great trip as usual.

Relaxing for a little bit when we first made it to the hotel.

For dinner on Sunday night, we went to downtown St. Pete and one of our favorite restaurants that Lindsay and Andrew introduced us to, Moon Under Water (I think we go here every time we are down).

We always think these are the neatest trees and Kaylyn had to climb one.

Family

The girls and I had never been across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, so after dinner, we decided to go across. Once we got to the other side, Trey and Kaylyn got out to look at the water and feel it.

For my birthday, I wanted to go to Clearwater Beach. The weather was perfect, the water was just right and the time spent together as a family couldn't have been better! It was just what I wanted.

Cuties!

Birthday dinner at Maggiano's.

On March 26th, our good friends Lindsay and Andrew had their precious baby boy Max. I had not seen him and it was killing me. On Tuesday, it was time for us to meet.

Lindsay asked if we wanted to go to the North Shore Aquatics Center and we of course said yes.

Mama & baby.

Kaylyn had a blast!

I was in heaven!

After swimming, it was time for Max's lunch. Kaylyn helped feed him.

Ashton was never too far away...

That night for dinner, we went to another favorite, The Cheesecake Factory.

The rest of the week was great, but I didn't take any pictures. We went to the bounce house that we went to back in March and we also got to see Lindsay and baby Max again.

One of the last pictures I took was of my sweet baby girl sleeping. Ashton has always slept in her crib or in a pack n play, but Kaylyn really wanted her to sleep in the big bed. Since Kaylyn was willing to share her space and I knew we were about to transition Ashton (once we moved) to a twin, I thought it was perfect timing to give it a try. Listening to those sweet babies laughing and giggling before bedtime was so adorable and waking up to see this sweet face was priceless!

LOVE!
