Orlando Vacation

A few weeks ago, MeeMee let us use her timeshare in Orlando to go on a week long family vacation. It was the first 7 day vacation since Trey and I went on our honeymoon (we've been on many trips, but only for 3-4 days at a time). We had a great time relaxing by the pool, enjoying trips to Downtown Disney, shopping at the outlets and eating way too much good food. And Trey and Kaylyn enjoyed going to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure to do all things Harry Potter.

We've never done a dinner theater with the girls and decided on the way down to book a dinner for the following night at the Disney Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. It's at Fort Wilderness and if you're not staying there, then you have to park and take a bus to Pioneer Hall where the dinner and show is. We arrived super early to make sure we found where we were supposed to be and enjoyed walking around the camp stores and the girls were able to play on the playground for a little bit.

Family selfie on the bus headed to Pioneer Hall.

This little thing is so full of personality!

Goofing off in the outpost store.

Delaney didn't know what to think about the bear...

She was so cute!

Pioneer Hall

The food was so good and I wish I had a picture of all of it. You got unlimited fried chicken, ribs, corn, mashed potatoes, cornbread and as much to drink as you wanted. You also got strawberry shortcake for dessert. The show was really good too and they did a great job getting the crowd involved.

Strawberry Shortcake = Yummy!

Making music with a fork...

After dinner, we were able to ride the boat from Fort Wilderness to Magic Kingdom. The sun was shining bright and it was pretty warm, but we still enjoyed it.

Pool fun.

Woohoo! Ashton finally got a bikini. This sweet thing has gone without one because she needs a super small bottom and a bigger (longer) top. I finally found this little gem at the outlet mall and she just had to have it. It's crazy to think that she is almost 5 and we had to get a 18-24 month size!?! She's my skinny mini.

On Tuesday, the little girls and I dropped off Trey and Kaylyn at Universal Studios to spend the day there and at Islands of Adventure. Kaylyn LOVES Harry Potter and we decided when planning this trip that she and Trey would go experience it while I stayed back with the girls. It was too crowded and too hot for us. They both had so much fun and the girls and I met them later during the day for dinner at City Walk.

Dropping them off to start their day.

I asked that they take lots of pictures and they did. The only problem is that I cannot describe them. At least they know what they are looking at...and maybe some of you do to?!?

I was so bummed that I wasn't going to be able to try the butterbeer, but since I have the best hubby and daughter in the world, they brought me one when we came to meet them for dinner. And it was so, so, so good!!!

The first two weeks of summer included swimming lessons for Ashton. She only took one week last year because we were out of town, but this year we were able to do both. In the beginning you would've thought we were killing her, but at the end of the two weeks we had a fish on our hands. She has improved more and more since then and really enjoyed her pool time at the resort. She was in heaven getting to go down the slide.

Wednesday was for lounging at the pool and Kaylyn & Ashton had so much fun going down the slide together! They went side by side, head first, feet first, Ashton on Kaylyn's back and many other ways. And they had a great time while doing it.

Oh how I LOVE these two!

Delaney loves the pool too!

And she even got to go down the slide...

Delaney doesn't suck her thumb, so this is too funny.

After our pool time, we got dressed and headed to Downtown Disney for dinner.

We ate at Raglan Road Irish Pub and got to watch the Celtic dancers while we waited for our food.

You cannot go to Downtown Disney without stopping at the Lego store...

Or without posing with the princess...

Delaney LOVED Stitch and it was so funny!

She wanted it so bad...

Ashton picked out a new charm necklace.

Where's Delaney???

On Thursday, after some relaxing time for me at the spa, we headed back to Downtown Disney for lunch and to look around some more (it started raining the night before and our trip was cut short).

After lunch, we wanted to have the girls silhouette portraits done, but wasn't sure how it would work. We were told that we only needed to keep Delaney still for a short amount of time so we figured we'd give it a shot.

Daddy and YaYa did everything they could to keep her looking forward...

Vincent has been doing this for years...

The end results were totally worth it!

Our little "lefty" at the Left Handed store.

We ended our vacation on Friday with more pool fun and eating yummy food at Cheesecake Factory before heading home Saturday morning to enjoy Fourth of July festivities.

Thank you MeeMee so much for allowing us to use your timeshare!!! We had such a great week as a family and made memories that will last forever.
