Last Friday we headed to St. Teresa to spend the weekend at the beach. I was a little worried because the weather report looked horrible all week, but it ended up being a beautiful weekend and it was even better because we spent it with great friends!
The Haywood's have become our dear friends over the past few years and we were so excited that they could join us along with one of Kaylyn's friends, Kathleen. We loaded up the car Friday morning, took the girls out of school a little early and off we went.
Our view for the weekend...
Ashton and Savannah are the best of friends and were so excited to be at the beach together.
Sweet Scarlett!
Delaney didn't like it when I tried to just dip her toes in the water, but ended up loving it when I got in with her.

Delaney's 1st time in the ocean.
Megan and I with our baby girls.
There's nothing better than waking up at the beach and eating chocolate donuts with friends!
Dads doing dishes...
All of our girls...and Kathleen too. She was ours for the weekend.
Walking to the pool.
They were so sweet talking to each other on the way...

Delaney's 1st time in a pool and of course YaYa had to hold her.
Kaylyn and Kathleen
Delaney loved the water!
After swimming for a little while, we left the pool and headed to the beach to enjoy the rest of the day.
These are two of the sweetest girls I know! They are well mannered, kind and always willing to help. Especially with the little girls.

Scarlett was too cool in her hat and shades!
Kaylyn and Kathleen had so much fun kayaking.
Coming back in from a trip.
I don't have a picture, but Trey and Brian kayaked to Alligator Point and back.
Bubbles.
This sweet thing had so much fun playing in the water and the sand.
Toes in the sand.
The adults and the little girls had come back to the house when we heard Kaylyn yelling for Trey. He was a little reluctant to go see what they wanted, but did anyway. What they found were tons of blue crabs and they ended up getting a bucket full of them.
We were doing a shrimp boil for dinner, so the crabs were the perfect addition.
A feast to end a wonderful day...
And this was all that was left...
The next day we had to go home, but wanted to get a group picture first. Trying to get 10 people to all look at the same exact time was a little challenging, especially when 4 of them are four and younger.
Bye bye St. Teresa. We all had a blast and cannot wait to go on another family trip together! This is definitely what friends are for and we are so thankful for the Haywood family and Kaylyn's sweet friend Kathleen!!!
