February 15, 2003 seems like just yesterday, but here we are 12 years later and my baby really isn't a baby anymore. With each passing year, the birthday parties get easier and easier and this year was no different. The weekend prior to her actual birthday, Kaylyn had a few friends over to hang out and we all went to Melting Pot for dessert. It was the perfect day and the perfect party for my sweet girl!
Fun with Friends
Kaylyn didn't ask for much for her birthday, but she did ask if she could start wearing mascara. I've definitely been really strict regarding makeup, but thought that a little bit of mascara would be okay.
For her present, we got her a monogrammed makeup bag with some mascara in it.
She was so excited!
She also got a new lunch box...
And some new flats. The funny thing though is that these are the same shoes that I have and the same size. I knew it wasn't going to be long before her foot outgrew mine!
The day after Kaylyn's birthday we celebrated with grandparents at her favorite place, Olive Garden.
Sweet sisters getting ready to go celebrate.
All of our girls...
Kaylyn got a really nice Origami Owl necklace from MeeMee.
And she also got gift cards to her favorite store, Chameleon from PawPaw and Grandma & Boppa.

Happy 12th Birthday to my caring, sweet, intelligent, beautiful baby girl. It seems like only yesterday that you came into my life and made me a mama. I am so proud of you and the young lady that you've become. You are the best daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend that anyone could ask for. I love you more and more each day!
