Disney Vacation Day 1 - Epcot

About a month or so ago, we were given the opportunity to take a Disney vacation. It was planned totally last minute, but when you have somewhere to stay, you cannot pass it up. A huge THANK YOU to MeeMee and my dad for making it happen!!!!! We as a family had the best trip ever and created memories that will last a lifetime.

When planning, we decided to go the weekend of Trey's birthday (April 5th). Since I was the one that had been dying to take the girls to Disney, I never thought that we would end up their on his birthday, but it was perfect. We left bright and early on Friday the 4th and the girls had no clue where we were going. It had been driving Kaylyn crazy that she didn't know, but I loved it! The whole way down to Orlando, they continuously asked, but we never gave in until we were pulling into the park.

I had dreamed of the moment of seeing their faces when they realized where we were going since the day we finalized our plans. Ashton's little face was everything that I expected it would be!

She was so excited!

Kaylyn on the other hand (and I laugh as I type this) was not ready for pictures. Unfortunately she had just finished a book and the last pages included one of the characters dying. I would have never let her read it at that time had I known. She definitely didn't have the look of excitement that I had wished for, but it was a moment that I will never forget and was oh so sweet. She has no problems showing her emotions...just like her mama.

Now she was ready for a picture to show how happy she was!

And Ashton was still just as happy as before...

Sweet sisters waiting to get our park tickets.

We're here!

Our first ride was Spaceship Earth and the girls decided to ride together.

When you are done with the ride, it makes a movie of your future. You can only see it in your cart, so I wasn't able to get pictures of the girls, but ours was pretty funny.

I was able to get this picture of the girls...

Minnie Mouse

Mickey Mouse

We were at Epcot during the Flower & Garden Festival and all of the flowers were gorgeous.

Our next ride was the Test Track. Ashton was too short to ride, so Trey and Kaylyn rode first and then I rode with Kaylyn when they were finished.

Ashton & I while we waited.

We walked around and found these guys playing music. It was really cool.

Kaylyn & I on the Test Track.

While I rode with Kaylyn, Trey took Ashton to play on a playground they had setup for the festival.

There was also a cool off station that she had a blast in!

I love that sweet face!

When we were done riding, we found Trey and Ashton testing out all of the cars.

Mission Space

Ashton couldn't ride, but it didn't bother her at all. We had fun taking pictures with flowers and talking to anyone and everyone.

Our first country visited was Mexico and we decided to ride the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. It was a fun, cool ride that the whole family could enjoy.

Afterwards, the girls got to meet Donald Duck.

After Mexico, we traveled to Norway and rode Maelstrom. It was another fun boat type ride and when we were done, the girls thought they were cute trying on these hats.

China

How cute is she!?!

These performers were amazing. I wish I'd got more pictures.

The girls loved these phone booths...

Even though we could have spent more time at the park, our first day was absolutely wonderful!
