Fun With Friends In Atlanta

Last Thursday we headed to Atlanta with our good friends Brian and Megan and their girls Savannah and Scarlett. It started off pretty rough with Delaney having an ear infection the day before we left and Trey and Ashton both throwing up from a stomach bug (this is real life...no sugar coating it here) the day we were leaving. We packed our buckets along with our luggage though and headed north. We arrived at different times Thursday night, but we were all in the same hotel and right across the hall from each other so it was perfect!

Friday morning we had plans to visit the Georgia Aquarium. Trey was doing much better and Ashton was too even though she was still not 100%.

Ashton, Kaylyn and Savannah

Otters

Thank goodness for the double stroller...Ashton definitely needed it.

Beluga Whale

Checking out the penguins from the crawl through tunnel.

Up close and personal...

Delaney was is awe of all of the sea creatures.

The whale sharks were massive and we spent quite a bit of time sitting and watching them.

Kaylyn has always wanted to wear Delaney in the Boba and I decided to let her. Of course Delaney went right to sleep.

Sweet Scarlett learned a new smile that we called the "Popeye" look. She's so stinking adorable!

And she loves Mr. Trey!

Sweet Friends

There were divers in the tank answering questions and they swam around waving at all of the kids once they were done. The girls loved it.

The guys had to have a picture with the starfish.

Waiting for the Dolphin Tales show to begin.

Delaney could have spent hours looking at everything.

Scarlett smiles like Popeye and Delaney smiles by scrunching her nose.

After the aquarium we decided to go across the street to Centennial Olympic Park to let the girls run around and play on the playground.

Delaney giving YaYa kisses.

My sweet Ash put on a smile, but she was feeling so bad.

Oh how I LOVE this sweet thing!!!

On Saturday morning we went to World of Coca-Cola.

Delaney wants to walk everywhere and even though it's really cute, it takes forever!

The vault with the secret recipe for Coke.

Sweet friends who stroll together, stay together...

Coca-Cola in bottles...my favorite!!!

The Olympic Torch

Ashton and Savannah watching the bottling process.

Every one's favorite part of the tour was the sampling room at the end. The whole time we were there, they kept saying "I want to go try the coke, I want to go try the coke." Over and over again...

You can tell by Scarlett's face that she enjoyed it!

Sweet Delaney fell asleep at the end, but we had to snap a picture anyway.

After the World of Coca-Cola we all went back to the hotel to rest before tailgating for the FSU vs. Georgia Tech football game. Only the guys went to the game, but we all had fun before it started.

Kaylyn took over the camera and got some really good pictures.

Watch out Atlanta, there's a new driver in town...

I love this picture!
(except that Scarlett is missing in it...I think she was too busy "driving")

~Friends~

"They make you laugh a little louder, smile a little brighter and live a little better than before."

I am so thankful that 3 years ago the Haywoods came into our lives and I was the "crazy church lady" as Trey likes to call it. We are blessed to call them our friends and love living life and raising our girls along side of them! We look forward to many more trips in the future!!!
