Beach Trip for New Year's

Last Saturday we decided to book a trip to the beach for New Year's. It was completely last minute and we left Sunday morning headed to Panama City. Even though I went back and forth on whether or not we should actually do it, I'm so glad that we did! We all had so much fun and it was a great way to end the year.

Our first stop after checking in was the Hofbrau Beer Garden at Pier Park. It's mine and Trey's favorite place to grab a drink and a huge pretzel with two different kinds of cheese. They are so good and we always end up eating here more than once...& this trip was no different. After our snack, we decided to take Kaylyn to WonderWorks. She wanted to go this past summer when we were here, but for some reason we didn't make it.

It's kind of pricey, but for older kids, it is well worth the money. We stayed for a long time and we probably could have stayed even longer. There are a ton of pictures, but we had such a great time!

Working hard to pulley herself up...

Ashton had a little bit of help.

This ride was amazing, but Kaylyn was TERRIFIED to go upside down, so I couldn't peddle fast.

Trey was all about going upside down...

Giant Piano (both girls loved it...and I did too)

This was really funny and Trey actually went in and used the restroom. Everyone was amazed that you couldn't see him once he locked the door.

BIG Bubbles

Yes, that is my baby girl up there. Her daddy and big sister like to have fun!

And yes, that is her too. I laugh every time I look at these pictures. The funniest part is that Ashton willingly let them do this to her.

Kaylyn holding Ashton's head in her hand...they are so clever.

This was originally just Kaylyn, but then one of the employees made it look like an angel. It was really neat.

Kaylyn, the dancing machine!

Kaylyn was really excited to do the ropes course. I did it with her first and then Trey took a turn.

I think we were trying to figure out where to go next. You can take many different routes.

I was a little nervous at first, Trey wasn't at all...

The end to a fun filled night!

We spent New Year's Eve at Pier Park. We all went to a movie (Parental Guidance which was great) and then we waited for the Beach Ball drop that happened at 8:00. It was so much fun and we will probably do this again. There were approximately 10,000 beach balls that dropped and it was perfect for the kids.

The girls got to run around and play while we waited for 8:00.

At this point, Kaylyn had her spot & she wasn't moving. She was determined to get one of the big beach balls.

She wasn't letting us go anywhere...

The crowd was getting bigger, so Ashton had to come back to me so that daddy and YaYa could get ready.

At 8:00 when they dropped the beach balls, it was a mad house. There were people everywhere and we seemed to be in the best spot.

Trey immediately got a big beach ball for Kaylyn and then started tossing/hitting beach balls to the parents standing all around us.

She was so EXCITED!

In the end, Trey was able to get Kaylyn 2 of the beach balls that she wanted and it completely made her night! There was also a fireworks show right after so that the kids didn't have to wait until midnight. It was amazing and a wonderful way to spend our New Year's Eve as a family.
