Our Little Ladybug Turns 2!

On Saturday, we celebrated Ashton's upcoming 2nd birthday. It was a day filled with close family and friends and was absolutely perfect! In just two short years, Ashton has filled so many lives with happiness and she is definitely a blessing to many.

Kaylyn's First Day of 4th Grade

School started back Monday and Kaylyn was really excited...a little nervous for the big changes that 4th grade brings, but really excited! We met her teachers, Mrs. Hadley and Mrs. Meighan on Friday and they both seem to be really nice. This week has been pretty easy with no homework or anything that was difficult, but I'm sure with the passing weeks, that will all change.

And the final picture of the day is definitely one of my favorites! After being together during the summer, I don't think Ashton new what to do when we left Kaylyn at school. The look on both of their faces shows the happiness that they bring each other. It truly melts my heart!!!

Here's to another great year at a great school! Kaylyn is such a good kid and I know this year will be no different.



Scalloping With The Smith Family

To end our vacation in St. Teresa, we invited the Smith family down for the weekend. Sara and Andrew have a little boy named Parker (or Paaaaaka as Ashton calls him) and he is so good with Ashton. We've been on a trip with them before, so we knew we would have fun!

Instead of hanging by the beach on Saturday, Andrew and Sara brought a boat so that we could go scalloping. It was Ashton's first time on a boat and she loved it! I didn't get any pictures, but Sara did get a couple of the kids (Trey keeps giving me a hard time about not getting any pictures of all of our scallops).

Both Ashton and Parker were so good the whole time on the boat and it definitely made the trip easier on the adults. We got a ton of scallops, cleaned them and then cooked them for dinner. It was a GREAT way to end our vacation and we cannot wait to do trips like this again!
