The 4th of July...and the 5th and the 6th...

Anyone living in Tallahassee knows that we did not have ideal weather for the 4th of July. We did however have a day filled with family, food and fun...and some shopping for my birthday thanks to Viza and Paul.

Our original plans were to head to Trey's parents for the first part of the day and then go to our friends the McKee's house for a BBQ that afternoon. Since it rained all day and the fireworks were postponed until Saturday, the McKee's also postponed their party and we decided to stay at Trey's parents house.

I still had to get pictures of my girls in their red, white and blue!

The next day, the weather cleared up for a little while and we decided to go on a family golf outing. Fresh air was definitely needed after being stuck inside the day before.

Me & My Girls

  Our Family

We normally all ride in one cart, but this day, we had two. Kaylyn and Trey rode in one and I rode in the other with Ashton.

Kaylyn was really excited to drive with Trey.

I guess Ashton got my phone and took some pictures of herself. This one was so cute and I just had to share it.

I cannot believe that in 5 years she will be driving a car...I'm fine with a golf cart for now.

There were so many clouds, but the rain held off so that Trey could enjoy his golfing.

The girls always have to jump out and help.

Swinging...

Ashton thought she was going to swing...

The girls had fun taking their shoes off and running in the grass.

And doing cartwheels...

This was Ashton's cartwheel. We all died laughing.

Sweet Sisters

On the 6th of July, we went to the McKee's BBQ and to watch the fireworks in Summerbrooke. We had so much fun (except that Kaylyn wasn't there) with good friends and sweet kids.

Ashton kept chewing on the glow stick necklace. I told her she was going to start glowing, but she didn't seem to mind.

We waited 2 days and finally got to see fireworks. This was definitely not a typical 4th of July, but we still had a great time!

Happy 4th of July!
