Mother's Day 2012

Being a mom brings the greatest joy to my life.  If you know me, you know my children are my world and being able to celebrate Mother's Day with them and my wonderful husband is a blessing.  On this day, I was showered with gifts...I got a monogrammed water bottle and the new Tuskegee CD (yes, I LOVE Lionel Richie) from Trey and the girls, homemade stuff from Kaylyn and my nephew Crews and a couple of new attachments for my Happy Everything plate from my wonderful in-laws, but just being able to say that I am Kaylyn and Ashton's mom is what matters the most in my life!

Our Camping Trip...better late than never...

About a month ago now, we went camping for the first time with our friends Camala, Tracy and Meghan (Tracy's daughter).  Even though Trey & Camala said it wasn't "real" camping because you could see I-10 from our site (we camped at the Yogi Bear campground in Madison), I slept in a tent (yes, on an air mattress) and it was outside, so for me, it was definitely "REAL" camping.

We arrived Friday afternoon and ended up having a site right on the fishing lake.  It was absolutely perfect and we couldn't of had a better spot.  Even though we had to deal with rain on Saturday, we were still able to swim, go down the big slide, play a little bit of putt-putt and use the paddle boats.  It was a great weekend with great friends, great food and memories that we will always have!
