Happy Easter!

Our Easter was a little different this year. Instead of having our egg hunt on Sunday like we normally do, we went to our church's Easter BBQ on Saturday. It was a day filled with fun for all of the kids and really good food! It is sure to become a yearly tradition for our family.

Originally my brother and sister-in-law and all of the boys were supposed to come, but a sick daddy and one sick baby threw a wrench in the plans. Instead, my dad grabbed Kaden and the two of them joined us for the fun.

First though, we had to take a few pictures...

She looks so excited! Not really :)

The Egg Hunt was set up perfectly so that we were able to watch all of the kids hunt their eggs at staggered times. Ashton's age group started and I was excited to see how she would do since this was her first real experience (she was too young last year).

Sisters

We'd practiced at home, but when the day arrived, I think she was a little overwhelmed, so her big sister jumped at the opportunity to help her.

I love this picture. Kaylyn was trying to tell Ashton what to do and how to grab the eggs in front of her.

She is so good with her...it truly melts my heart!

When the hunt was over, look at the egg this smart girl picked out (she wasn't prompted & held onto it for the longest time)! That's right...GO GATORS!

Next was pony riding and the petting zoo.

When it came time for the big kid hunt, Kaylyn and Kaden were really excited.

Off they go...

Kaylyn even got an egg from Pastor Bob

Look at all of their eggs!

While we were waiting in line to get food, I caught this sweet moment where Kaden was fixing Ashton's hair.

The last thing we did before going home for the day was the hayride...

Kaden was tired of taking pictures and this is what I got...one day, when he is older and I pull out this picture, he is going to regret not smiling for the camera!

Easter morning the girls woke up to find their baskets full of goodies.

Kaylyn's Basket...Ashton's Basket

After going through their baskets and getting the girls in their dresses, we all went to church for a great Easter Service.

I love all of Ashton's expressions...

My beautiful daughters...

After church and an afternoon nap, we went to Grandma and Boppa's (Trey's parents) for Easter dinner and another egg hunt.

As a prize, Grandma had bubbles for the kids...and she even joined in the fun!

It was a great way to end a wonderful weekend of fun and many things to be thankful for!
